‘‘People are very reluctant to talk about their private
lives, but then you go to the Internet and they’re much more open.’’ - Paul Coelho
The writer, I think, tries to explain the irony many people
face every single day. You meet people, and you want to know them more. When
you ask them what you want to know about directly, it’s inappropriate. On the
other hand, you can just use the Internet for this. Do you want to know where they go? Look at Swarm. Do you wonder about their hobbies and if they have a
relationship or not? Check their Facebook account and relationship status.
Also, you can check their Instagram profile. Do you want to know about their
favourite music /religious ideas? Then you should definitely check out their
Soundcloud/Spotify/Fizy and Twitter accounts. And there you go, you know even
more than you needed, only via Internet. I definitely agree with the writer.
People should realise that anything they put on the net or apps stays there. If
you don’t want others to know about you, then don’t use the apps like your
personal diaries.
